ABSTRACT

The development of international trade as a result of globalization enables the demand of technological products by consumers in different countries, which necessitates the translation of manuals and therefore, accurate and functional reproduction of the content of manuals in target language becomes significant. Given the provision that the manuals should be prepared in a way to fulfill the needs of consumers and to enable functional use of these products, the present study aims to provide information regarding the preparation of manuals, the process of their translations, accidents emerging as a result of possible misuses, preventing unwanted conditions, and the characteristics and content of manuals as a technical text type.
