Abstract

It is possible to determine student success level by using the learnings in different teaching programs. The objectives in geography education and teaching life, science and technology and social sciences are all about geography. In this study, by referring to the objectives related to those programs above mentioned, success level of the students has been organized in three different course levels (the end of 5th, 8th and 12th year courses). The learnings of the students have been evaluated in three aspects being more successful that the expected level. In this way the teachers will be able to develop suitable measuring devices in geography teaching. Defining their level at or above the expected level will sign that geography education has reached its aim.
