Abstract

Italian composer Domenico Dragonetti is the one of the most important composers of solo contrabass history. It’s quite possible to see some impressions of romantic era since he has reached his majority during the final period of classical era. Initially, this study touches upon the history of concerto then progress of contrabass during the classical era has been explained. Afterwards, composer’s “La Major Double Bass Concerto” was technically explained after an overwiev of Domenico Dragonetti’s life and works.
