Abstract

In this research it is intended to find out the relationship between the leadership styles of primary and secondary school directors that they’ve shown while doing their managing functions and the intelligence fields that they have according to the Multiple Intelligence Theory. Public Primary and Secondary School’s principals and vice-principals, live in Nevşehir, generate the introduction of the research. In this research as well as “Per-sonal Information Forms” , “Multiple Intelligences Areas Evaluation Scale” that forms of 80 questions to establish the intelligence fields and Group Activity Questionnaire” that forms of 20 questions to establish leadership styles of managers are used. The data gained in the resarch are analysed SPSS packed programme and then with the help of statistics that characterize dispersal discoveries of demographic characteristics, it is investigated using managers’ comments of intelligence types but descriptive statistics are analysed using the school leadership perception. At the end of the research it is specified that leadership styles that are job facilitatör, aim stressful, interaction facilitator and supportive which are be-longed to managers and they are verbal, logical, physical, social, internal and nature xvi intelligence types. Beyond these the relationship between medium-level, visual and musical intelligence types and low-level positive linear relation is specified.
